DAE Capital cancels remaining Airbus aircraft on order

Dubai Aerospace Enterprise’s DAE Capital aircraft leasing unit canceled the remaining 45 aircraft it had on order with Airbus, the manufacturer confirmed Thursday.
DAE leapt into the aircraft leasing business at the 2007 Dubai Air Show with orders for 200 aircraft, divided evenly between Boeing and Airbus, with a combined list price value of more than $ 27 billion.
The original commitment with Airbus was for 70 A320s and 30 A350s, but it had already axed 55 of those aircraft ( ATW Daily News, March 7 ). The latest orders to get cut were for 34 A320s and 11 A350-900s.
