Timisoara-based Carpatair on May 25 introduced its first Boeing 737 aircraft, configured in 148 seats, on the Timisoara-Milan route. This aircraft will carry more passengers on existing routes and provides the flexibility to develop longer range routes.
Carpatair president and CEO Nicolae Petrov said the aircraft will enable the carrier to access new markets and “significantly reduce direct operating costs. Initially we will use these aircraft on existing routes, while later during the year we are going to launch new routes dedicated to Boeing 737 aircraft,” he said.
