United Airlines (UA) subsidiary Continental Micronesia (CMI) flight attendants on Friday ratified a new labor agreement, extending the previous collective bargaining agreement through December 2014.

The flight attendants are represented by the Assn. of Flight Attendants (AFA). UA reached a tentative agreement with AFA last month (ATW Daily News, July 18).

Inflight SVP Sam Risoli said, “We will now turn our attention on working with the AFA on a single contract that is competitive for United and provides additional benefits for our flight attendants.”

UA flight attendants ratified a new four-year contract in February (ATW Daily News, Jan. 11); flight attendants from Continental Airlines ratified an extension of their collective bargaining agreement last month (ATW Daily News, July 16). AFA and United Continental Holdings will launch negotiations for a joint collective bargaining agreement covering all AFA-represented flight attendants Aug. 27.
