Ethiopian Airlines (ET) signed a seven-year contract with Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies (ADAT) earlier this month, to provide Integrated Component Solutions (ICS) to its Boeing 737NG fleet.
The agreement covers 19 aircraft, comprising 11 in ET’s existing 737NGs plus eight new aircraft on order; it also provides repair cycle management and pool access coverage. This will be supported by the combined ICS capabilities and experience of both ADAT and SR Technics.
An ET spokesman told ATW that the first of four 787s to be delivered this year has been postponed from July to August. ET has 10 787s on order (ATW Daily News, May 6, 2006).
The carrier is preparing to launch Addis Ababa–Sao Paolo Guarulhos flights, its first service to Latin America. Details will be provided in the near future.
