Air France (AF) pilots’ union SNPL has approved a draft framework agreement that would allow the carrier to pursue its efficiency plan, the airline announced Friday.

According to AF, 83% of the SNPL member pilots voted and 67% approved the agreement, which was drafted in July (ATW Daily News, July 11).

AF has set the goal of achieving 20% efficiencies and restoring profitability under its Transform 2015 plan (ATW Daily News, July 30).

“This result clearly demonstrates the sense of responsibility of the company’s pilots and their representatives,” AF CEO Alexandre de Juniac said. “With the agreement also signed by unions representing ground staff, this validation is a very solid base for Air France to return to growth,” he added.
