Russia’s KrasAvia takes delivery of its first L-410

Russian KrasAvia Airlines has added the first Let L-410 Turbolet aircraft to its fleet, to be used on regional routes. Two more of the type will be delivered in July.

KrasAvia CEO Nikolay Fatyanov said the first L-410 flight will be launched in August. The Krasnoyarsk-based carrier plans to operate the type on existing and new regional routes.

KrasAvia announced its fleet expansion plans in February. The carrier also operates Antonov An-2, An-3, An-24, An-26, An-32 and Yakovlev Yak-40 aircraft. It will take delivery of 10 Cessna 206s in 2012-2013.

Earlier this month, Russian Salekhard-based Yamal Airlines took delivery of its first L-410 (ATW Daily News, June 5).
